Italy
Capri is a limestone island four kilometres off the Sorrentine Peninsula, rising dramatically from the sea to a plateau of gardens, villas, and extraordinary views. It has attracted writers, emperors, and the very wealthy for two thousand years, and despite the crowds that arrive daily by hydrofoil, it retains a quality that is genuinely difficult to explain to someone who has not been.
Capriを訪れる理由
The Blue Grotto is the famous visit — a sea cave where the water glows an unearthly blue — but Capri rewards those who stay longer than a day trip. The walk from Anacapri to the lighthouse at Punta Carena is the best on the island. The Gardens of Augustus above the Faraglioni rocks are free and rarely crowded. And the view from Monte Solaro, reached by chairlift from Anacapri, encompasses the entire Bay of Naples.
訪問のベストシーズン
April, May, and October are the best months — the island is beautiful, the crowds are manageable, and the light is exceptional. June through September is busy but the sea is at its warmest. The island is relatively quiet from November to March and has a genuine local life in the off-season.
Nova Insider
Stay in Anacapri rather than Capri town — it is quieter, cheaper, and gives you the island at something approaching its real pace. The day-trippers rarely make it up this far, and the walk down through the vineyards to Marina Grande at dusk is one of the great quiet pleasures of the island.
