The Best Rooftop Pool Hotels in Bern

The medieval grid of Bern’s Old City presents a uniform facade of sandstone and steep, tiled roofs. This architectural consistency makes any interruption notable. A rooftop pool is one such interruption: a precise cut of blue against a terracotta expanse. It offers a different perspective, a view over the Zytglogge and across the river without the obstruction of a window pane. Here, the day can begin not with the sounds of the street, but with the quiet lapping of water and the cool feel of stone underfoot before the city fully wakes.
