The Best Design Forward Hotels in Lausanne

In Lausanne, a city of steep inclines and lakeside promenades, a certain approach to hospitality is taking hold. Moving beyond the grand hotels of Ouchy, these spaces favour a different tenor. This is expressed not through ornament, but through considered details: a reception desk of solid walnut, rooms where sightlines are clear, and a general sense of composure. It is a sensibility that reflects an aspect of the city itself—a place of quiet substance, where a progressive outlook is an undercurrent rather than a declaration of intent.
