The Best Hidden Courtyard Hotels in Palma de Mallorca

In the lanes of Palma de Mallorca’s La Llotja district, the street-level façades are often unassuming. Heavy wooden doors open not into lobbies, but into interior patios, a feature of the city’s traditional architecture. Here, the public world recedes. The sound shifts to the rustle of leaves or water from a small fountain. Cool air collects against walls of local limestone. This transition defines the courtyard hotel: a building where the central point of gravity is a quiet, open-air space, offering a different register of city life before one even reaches a room.
