The Best Design Forward Hotels in Zurich

In a city often defined by its functionalism, a certain school of Zurich hoteliers applies a similar rigor to aesthetics. This design-forward approach is one of intentional reduction and material honesty. It is seen in the precise line of a chair against a wall, the texture of a heavy wool blanket, or the way morning light catches on polished terrazzo floors. These are interiors that prioritize form and substance over ornamentation, often drawing from a modernist lineage. From the repurposed industrial sites in Zürich-West to quieter addresses, these properties demonstrate restraint as a form of confidence.
