The Best Rooftop Pool Hotels in Munich

From a certain height, the order of Munich reveals itself. The perspective from a rooftop pool offers a quiet survey of the city’s geometry, where the twin spires of the Frauenkirche punctuate a uniform sea of terracotta roofs. Up here, the sounds of the Altstadt are muted, replaced by the simple slap of water against a stone deck. It is less about swimming and more about observation; a place to sit with a book and watch the afternoon light shift across the distant Alps. This vantage point provides a different measure of the city, one of composure and altered scale.
